Thank you to the catechetical leaders who copied us on their email conversation re: remote/in person? This is indeed a very stressful time. Not only do different towns have different regulations, but we also have to deal with families making different decisions for their children. It would seem that we need to: (1) provide gathered sessions for those willing to come; (2) manage remote for those who want to participate but who are unwilling or unable to come; (3) somehow stay in touch with those who seem to be too overwhelmed to engage at all.
Let us be mindful of the fact that the Holy Spirit is indeed with us as we accompany our families through this time and let us try to witness to this fact by being “kind, gentle, and patient.”
Also, take care of yourselves, please!

To date, we have heard from 10 parishes who anticipate a total of 17 catechumens and 7 candidates to participate in this ceremony.

February 10th is the deadline for registering candidates for this ceremony.

SYNOD 2021-2023
Soon we will be scheduling gatherings (in person and virtual) for Catechetical Leaders to give input for the Synod. There are some questions to ponder before we gather.
- What is your experience of the consultative processes in our Diocese? . . . in your parish?
- What fruits did these experiences bear? What were the joys, accomplishments, failures, difficulties, obstacles and wounds?
