St. Francis of Assisi - Part-Time Administrative Assistant
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church & Newman Center is searching for a part-time administrative assistant to join our team. This person will manage initial contact with parishioners and the public and provide administrative services to the parish office.
Essential duties include greeting visitors to the parish office and assisting with their needs; recruit/coordinate volunteers to maintain a welcoming atmosphere; schedule Mass Intentions and associated duties; maintain confidential parishioner information sacramental records; work with Communications to produce weekly parish updates and social media posts; and, other administrative duties as needed.
Qualified candidates will be able to embrace and uphold Catholic Church teaching and collaborate and work as part of the pastoral team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required with at least 2 years related experience and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Publisher, website maintenance, Flocknote or other bulk emailing platforms, and current technology is essential.
