Another exciting week of Catholic education is in the books! Remember that next Monday is a non-school day as we celebrate MLK. Please take a look at the Weekly News below to see what is coming up next at the WWCS.
2021-22 Yearbook Orders
Starting next week, 2021-22 yearbook order forms will be handed out to each student at both Assumption and DeSales. The Assumption yearbook will cost $25 and the DeSales yearbook will cost $50. All orders must be summited to the school office by March 30. After that time, yearbooks will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Mother-Son Mass and Brunch Event
January 30 at 9:30 AM | St. Patrick's
The WWCS Mother/Son brunch is on Sunday, January 30! This is an opportunity for the schools to recognize and appreciate the important role that all mothers have in the formation of our awesome students. Mothers and sons from grades 6-12 are invited to attend! All attendees are welcome to start the day with Sunday Mass at 9:30 AM, with the brunch following Mass. We will be joined by guest speaker, Tim Meliah, the Regional Director of Catholic Charities in Walla Walla. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by following the instructions on the flyer.
Register for the Talent Show!
Registration Deadline: Friday, January 21
The WWCS Talent show is back, and this year we are able to return to an in-person show! The show will be held in the DeSales gym on Wednesday, February 2, at 6:30 PM. A printable version of the registration form can be accessed through the button below. We invite students from grades K-12 to fill out a registration form which includes a description of their particular act, and then submit that form to the school office by Friday, January 21. WWCS Athletics Update
Congratulations to Frankie Worden, DeSales Senior, for being named one of the Athletes of the Week by the WIAA for his performance on the basketball court last week!
Please note that our basketball schedule has been recently updated. You can find the most up-to-date schedule by visiting our athletics page on the WWCS website. Both our girls and boys teams are poised to make playoffs, so look for more information on those February playoff games to be provided in the coming weeks
Mr. Hazeltine Nominated as AD of the Year
Our own Mr. Hazeltine was nominated as "Athletic Director of the Year" by District 9! This is a huge honor, and very much deserved as Mr. Hazeltine has worked tirelessly to ensure that our student athletes, and the student athletes from other schools, have had every opportunity to play during a challenging year. Here is a description of the "AD of the Year" award:
Every year, Athletic Directors around the state honor their colleagues for their service, work-ethic and professionalism. League athletic directors are recognized and chosen as AD of the year. Those nominations are brought before WIAA district boards around the state to determine who among the finest will be honored at the district level, and ultimately represent their district at the WSSAAA State Conference. It is at the state conference where athletic directors annually celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding district athletic directors.
Walk for Life
Sunday, January 23 at 1:30 PM
The annual Walk For Life in Walla Walla is happening soon! This beautiful event begins with a prayer service at The Father's House (304 N 2nd Avenue), continues with a peaceful procession through downtown Walla Walla, and then ends with a closing prayer service at St. Patrick Catholic Church. This event brings together members of all different faith traditions to give voice to the unborn, and to celebrate God's gift of life!
Europe Trip Opportunity

Do you long to go on a trip to Europe? This July, a group of 30 students and adults are headed to Germany and Italy
for a 15-day trip of a lifetime, and we still have room for an additional 10 travelers! The tour company (EF) has detailed plans and protocols for COVID-19 situations of all types, and the tour is set to go as planned.

Destinations include Heidelberg, Munich, Dachau, Neuschwanstein, Salzburg, Venice, Assisi, Pisa, Florence, Padua, and Rome. We will be visiting castles, a

Please note that this trip is not an official school sponsored event, but most of the travelers are WWCS students and family members. WWCS Holy Hour
Wednesdays at 4:00 PM - St. Patrick Church
The WWCS Wednesday Holy Hour is held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM, at St. Patrick Church. Though this is a Walla Walla Catholic Schools event, it is also open to the community and we hope that you will join us in prayer!
