ICA’s Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is an 8-year program intended to assist parents in fulfilling their obligation in the formation of their children in the Catholic faith. All families are expected to regularly attend Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation. The program is available to public school children of families registered at ICA Parish.
Due to the lack of volunteers for the positions of Catechists, Aides, and Monitors, ICA’s Religious Education Program has been modified to combine at-home study for non-Sacramental grades and in-person classes for Sacramental grades.
Sacramental Grades
Grades 1 and 2 (required preparation grades for First Holy Communion) and Grades 7 and 8 (required preparation grades for Confirmation) will return to in-person classes in the school building. There is no remote option for these Sacramental grades. There are 3 Sessions Available: Tuesdays (4:15-5:30 PM or 6:45-8 PM) and Wednesdays (4:15-5:30 PM).
Non-Sacramental Grades
Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 will participate in a Family Home Faith Formation program. This involves both home study and participation of children and parents in occasional Zoom sessions with the Director of Religious Education. There is no in-person option for these grades.
PREP Office Hours
