It’s Our Time
“Do whatever he tells you.” – JN 2: 05
As we know, in Ordinary Time we are to work on improving on what God has Blessed us with while growing in our Faith and then, pass it on to others. Today, our Blessed Mother reminds us how to do this, “Do whatever he tells you.” (JN 2: 05)
However, more times than not, we feel as if we can’t do it. Yes, we use the gifts every day for the needs we have in making it work in this life, to succeed in this world. Yet, we become an introvert when it comes to living our Faith in a way that we can bring others to the Faith. What keeps us from doing what Jesus tells us?
Jesus has given us hundreds of words, hundreds of examples on how to live in this life. He gives of Himself, His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity to nurture and strengthen us. Jesus even gave us His Holy Spirit to give us insights and guidance on how to connect others with the gifts we have been given. We just have to act as Jesus expects and carry out His Wishes. This begins by us answering a simple question, do we trust in the Truth?
Our Response Oral Psalm tells us, “Proclaim his marvelous deeds to all the nations.” (PS 96:03)While St Paul points out that each one of us is to act, with the Holy Spirit, in a way that benefits others. As we participate in the Mass today, we should not misinterpret the words of Jesus for our own, it is not my time. Jesus was pointing out the fact that he did not want to interfere with the wedding reception plans. However, when His Mother asked, He answered as She expected. This is important for us to remember, through our participation and with what we receive in the Sacraments, it is our time to act. Let us start by interceding to our Blessed Mother to talk to Jesus on our behalf, ask the Lord to show us the way, and then act accordingly.
"Heavenly Father, you have revealed your glory in our Lord Jesus Christ. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may bring you glory in all that I do and say."
May God’s Grace and Blessings Always be with you and yours!! Our Lady of Guadalupe – Pray for us!!
Yours in Christ,
