Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church envisions a fruitful communion of missionary disciples who are both boldly living in the freeing power of the Gospel, and zealously proclaiming the life-giving ransom purchased by Jesus Christ.

As activity increases in our community, we have a growing need for individual to invest in our parish and one-another by volunteering their time. Please keep on eye on our weekly "Help Wanted" section below for some (sometimes surprising) ways that you can help.
As I mentioned last week, this year I have the opportunity to engage in a Catholic Leadership 360 feedback experience. This is an opportunity for a priest to gain a greater understanding of his strengths and how to more effectively utilize them in ministry. It will help me to better prioritize my time and grow in my ability to invest in the renewal of our parish. Heavenly Father, we are thankful for the gifts that you give, those we recognize and those we fail to recognize. We are especially grateful for ...
- those parishioners that are embracing the call to be fruitful disciples by engaging in spontaneous prayer with those in need before and after Masses;
- the Knights of Columbus who keep the Ransom Responds shelves stocked with food for our guests. It is no small task and without the Knights, we would not have enough food to serve God’s children most in need;
- a parishioner receiving continued physical healing;
Jesus, for those graces spoken and unspoken, we give you thanks; and we ask that you multiply their fruits in our lives and the lives of those around us.

The process of discerning a call to become a deacon is a journey where a man is supported by the church as he discovers if the Lord is calling him to this important ordained ministry. Being a deacon isn't a full-time job; it is a call to a unique ministry of the word, the altar, and service.
