Let's together pray for Bishop-Elect Joseph Williams, the new auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He will be ordained on January 25, 2022.
For many years, as a parish, we have supported four godchildren through NPH (Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, Spanish for "Our Little Brothers and Sisters”)
This year our Pequeños Collection will be on the weekend of January 22 & 23, 2022, with a second collection during Mass. Funds we collect above our sponsorship fees are used to purchase a birthday box for the children. Additional funds are designated to provide meat at an additional meal for all the residents of NPH as most of the children only receive meat as a meal option once per week.
If you have any questions, contact Kim Williams at 651-762- 3626 or kwilliams@churchofstpiusx.org
Is the Holy Spirit putting it on your heart to serve others in need? God willing, we will be visiting two of our sponsored Godchildren at NPH Guatemala June 20-27, 2022.
The approximate cost of the trip will be $1,800 and this includes everything except souvenirs and two meals during our excursion day.
We have spots for twenty travelers. This trip is for those 15 to 99 years old. Please note that there is a fair amount of walking, albeit mostly on paved paths.
The first deposit of $900 is due March 1, 2022.
Final payment of $900 is due May 7, 2022.
If travel is canceled due to the pandemic, all funds (except $50) will be returned. A valid passport is required for this trip.
Contact Kim Williams, Director of Outreach and Pastoral Care at 651-762-3626 or kwilliams@churchofstpiusx.org to sign up or for more details.
All are invited and welcome. Saint John Paul II Champions for Life Awardees will be recognized during the prayer service. For more information visit archspm.org/prayer-service-life or call 651.291.4488.
The Church of St. Pius X is staffing the St. Andrews Family Shelter in Hugo the week of February 13-19, 2022. This family shelter is a wonderful ministry of hospitality and service.
If you feel you have a gift or charism for Hospitality or Service, you may feel called to volunteer for a dinner or overnight shift. An alternative for dinner service is to drop-off a prepared meal. Please prayerfully discern if this is something for you.
You can receive more information or sign-up at the Information Desk after all Masses this weekend - January 22 & 23.
Senior in high school, Matt Bennett, accompanies our Saturday evening choir at Mass. In addition he can be heard at the piano at various other Masses.
We look forward to Matt's piano concert, but we are postponing it one week, to Sunday, January 23 at 1:00 PM. Please update your calendars and plan to attend. There is no charge for this, just a free will offering to help Matt with upcoming college expenses. As with his previous concerts, it will be amazing!

Would you like to have more freedom to be who God created you to be, to be healed in relationships within your family and community, and experience Jesus’ healing mercy? Do you want to grow deeper in your relationship with God?
St. Pius X is offering the Restoring the Glory Retreat. We invite you to come experience the love of the Father, the mercy and compassion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and transformation and healing through the Holy Spirit as you grow in security, maturity, and purity in God’s plan for you.
Inspired by John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and the healing love of God, Dr. Bob Schuchts, author and marriage and family therapist, developed Restoring the Glory retreat. This retreat, facilitated at St. Pius X, utilizes pre-recorded talks by Dr. Schuchts. Included in the retreat will be individual prayer for healing and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The 9-part weekly retreat will be offered Saturday* mornings from 10 AM - 11:30 AM. The retreat begins February 12 and ends April 9. (*We will not gather on Saturday, Feb 19 & 26, rather Thursday. Feb. 17 & 24 at 6:30 PM.) Cost is $20 to cover the retreat workbook.
