Parish Listening Session this Thursday
Thursday, Jan. 20, 6:00-9:00 PM, Family Center
Catholics of all ages – even those not regularly practicing the faith – are invited to provide their feedback on the Church’s mission at this
in-person listening session. The whole Church is called to participate in the upcoming Synod (Greek:
synodos, meeting/assembly) of Bishops! Your comments will be gathered and shared with the Synod. Stay for part or all of the three hours. Snacks provided.
How does the listening session work?
We will break into small groups with a table facilitator posing about 20 questions that relate to Church mission. There will be a secretary at your table taking notes. The notes will be anonymous and will be summarized into one parish report that will contribute to the diocesan synthesis created from all parish listening sessions in the diocese. More information is available in
this participant guide. If you think you will attend, please indicate that here.
Have you taken the Synod’s online survey? Available through January 31, Bishop Vásquez, in communion with our Holy Father, invites all the faithful to have their voices heard, leading up to the Synod of Bishops.
