Evelyn Guth, 91, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on January 18, 2022, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living Center in Wentzville, Missouri.
She was born on September 22, 1930. She married the love of her life, Bill Guth on May 28, 1949, and were married for 58 years before he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters: Cheryle (John) Brooks of St. Albans, Missouri, Patty (Tom) Centorbi of New Melle, Missouri, and Karen (Jim) Piero of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters: June Dublar of Collinsville, Illinois, and Sue (Steve) Pate of Troy, Illinois; brother, Richard Crowe of York, South Carolina; six grandchildren: Derek (Katie) Centorbi, Christie Brooks, Kelly (Kevin) Loyd, Chad (Aimee) Centorbi, Abigail Piero and Maximillian Piero; nine great-grandchildren: Tyler (Maria) Centorbi, Alex Centorbi, Olivia Loyd, Christian Centorbi, Isabella Centorbi, Harrison Loyd, Piper Loyd, Viviana Centorbi, and Sutton Loyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emily and Thomas Crowe; sisters: Aloha Sullivan, Gwendolyn Perry, and Joy Dressel; brothers: Marxer Crowe, Forrest Crowe, Lee West Crowe and Thomas Crowe Jr.
Evelyn was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City and enjoyed being a part of the funeral lunch committee and women’s society.
Evelyn will be greatly missed by her friends and family and the awesome staff at Twin Oaks Assisted Living facility. Evelyn will be laid to rest at a private family burial service at Sunset Hill Cemetery alongside her husband. A Celebration of Life for Evelyn will take place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11AM at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon.
