Because the flu, sinus infections, colds, and other ailments have been spreading among the parish staff, Fr Hector and Fr Alvin went to be tested for COVID Thursday morning. Fr Hector tested positive for COVID and Fr Alvin tested negative. Both priests are social distancing in the rectory, each in his own private space. They share only the kitchen to prepare meals. Fr Alvin uses the back door of the rectory to bypass Fr Hector’s quarantined area. Fr Hector will be quarantined until Tuesday morning.
The Mass schedule will continue as normal including today Friday with Mass at 11:30 am.
While Fr Hector is quarantined in the rectory, Fr Alvin will celebrate the Masses with all the recommended precautions, having been directly exposed to the virus because he resides with me.
Fr. Alvin will:
1. wear a face mask.
2. not distribute communion.
3. have limited interaction with the congregation before and after Mass.
Deacons will serve wearing face masks and will social distance from the presider.
Unfortunately, there are many asymptomatic COVID positive people around us everywhere. Please Wear Masks, Social Distance, and Stay Healthy.
