St. Philip is holding a special, 11-Hour Eucharistic Adoration on Friday, January 28.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church describes adoration as follows: "To adore God is to acknowledge him as God, as the Creator and Savior, the Lord and Master of everything that exists...Lifting up the mind toward God is an expression of our adoration of God: prayer of praise and thanksgiving, intercession and petition." CCC 2096-2098.
Let us spend one hour with our Lord in prayer, as we are invited to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ. This month of January, as we embark on a new year, let us give thanks for all His mercy and love and pray for smooth journey to our new church.
