This Sunday // Judges and Kings
Midland Public Schools has announced a day off from school on Monday and virtual schooling on Tuesday and Wednesday, but this will not impact our Faith Formation schedule for this weekend. YM will still meet on Sunday!
The students will be hearing the story of the judges and kings that ruled Israel. We'll specifically explore the life of King David and the psalms that he wrote. The kids will get to try their hand at writing their own psalms and they'll also get to defeat their Goliaths with just a rubber band and some stale marshmallows! :)
January 30 // The Divided Kingdom and Exile
At this meeting, we'll explore when the kingdom of Israel was divided into two as well as the Israelites' exile in Babylon. This story finishes up our exploration of the Old Testament and sets us up for the BIG REVEAL!
February 6 // The Birth of Jesus
We'll dive right into the New Testament at this meeting with the story of Jesus' birth!
February 13 & 20 // No YM
Because we know that many families plan gatherings for Super Bowl Sunday, we traditionally do not have Youth Ministry the weekend of the Super Bowl. The following weekend is a four-day weekend for Midland Public Schools, so we will not meet on the 20th.
February 27 // The Miracles of Jesus
We'll explore some of Jesus' most famous miracles at this meeting. We'll talk about what miracles are and how they are different from illusions or slights of hand.
