CALLING ALL EMERGING JUSTICE-SEEKERS
Poetry Means Creativity, and You Create Hope
At the Fourth World Meeting of Popular Movements, Pope Francis thanked the "Social Poets" of the world, who "have the ability and the courage to create hope where there appears to be only waste and exclusion." Every day, we are inspired by the stories of remarkable young justice-seekers who create hope in their own communities.
In honor of NETWORK's 50th Anniversary, we want to uplift and celebrate the next generation of activists. If you know an inspiring young person (age 18-30) engaged in the work of building a just society for all,
Eligibility
The award will be given to four faith-based justice-seekers, age 18-30, who demonstrate:
- Creativity and Hope
- Characteristics of Sister-Spirit in their work
- Commitment to centering racial justice in their personal and communal formation, advocacy efforts, and organizing outreach
- Commitment to ongoing leadership in their field of advocacy and movement building
Award
$500 and travel/hotel expenses to attend the NETWORK Advocates Training and 50th Anniversary Gala, April 21-23, 2022 in Washington, D.C.
Nominations Process
Nominations may be submitted by a mentor, colleague, peer, supervisor or teacher/professor who has witnessed their advocacy and justice efforts. The nominator should
submit the online nomination form, and can also include up to a single page of supplementary biographical information.
Deadline for nominations is Monday, January 31, 2022.
