Note: We are watching the forecast of the impending winter storm and its potential impact on our weekend. Stay tuned. We'll keep you up-to-date!
Before scrolling down to learn about the upcoming visit of the Daughters of St. Paul to our parishes and the June 18 Jesus is Here Eucharistic Congress, take 1 minute (yes, just 1 minute!) to watch this video to see what the February Church calendar has in store for us.
World Day for Consecrated Life will be celebrated in the Church on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 and in parishes over the weekend of February 5-6, 2022. Please pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life and be sure to thank them on their special day. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation. Please also pray that all those men and women who are discerning their vocation in life, particularly those whom the Lord is calling to consecrated life, may they be given the wisdom to hear God's call and the courage to respond generously.
We will be welcoming the Daughters of St. Paul in Cohasset on January 29 and 30, and on February 5 and 6, the weekend before and after the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life.
The Daughters of St. Paul are a community of consecrated women communicating Christ with our lives. For 100 years, they have collaborated with religious, clergy, and laity to help people connect with Jesus Christ and the Church in a secular digital culture. Following their model Saint Paul, they live Christ so that they can give Christ in today’s digital world. Pauline Books and Media is a mission of the Daughters of St. Paul. The Sisters will bring a wonderful selection of inspirational Catholic books, Bibles, Lives of Saints, books for children, and more! Plan to visit the display and choose items to enrich your faith and help you share it with others!
A core tenet of the Catholic faith is that the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ is made truly present in the Eucharist. But belief in the True Presence has waned in recent years, even among Catholics. And that’s a concern—because as Cardinal Seán teaches, “it is in the Eucharist where we find our true identity.” Jesus is Here is an opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the mystery of Jesus’ presence with us—by listening to powerful talks on the Eucharist, by receiving Jesus in the Eucharist at Mass, and by adoring Him in a time of adoration and worship.
Registration is open for the June 18 Eucharistic Congress, Jesus Is Here, at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. The center of this day-long gathering is the celebration of Mass with Cardinal Seán and time for Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It will also include Eucharist-themed talks by Bishop Daniel Flores, Bishop Robert Barron, Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, and Jackie and Bobby Angel, music by Village Lights, and the availability of a variety of Catholic-based vendors. Here is the schedule for the day:
