Sunday Night YM
Sunday Night will meet again this week from 6-8pm before we have 2 weeks off for Super Bowl weekend and the long weekend for President's Day.
February 27th will be a special night for the Synod listening session with the high school students. We will welcome all high school students regardless of your involvement to come and share with us you views on the church and how we can best serve you. We will meet at the normal time, 6-8pm, serve snacks and refreshments, and offer an evening of small and large group discussion.
The High School Outreach Team Events
-On February 11th we will host a Parents Night Out babysitting event. Bring your children 1-10 and have a date night for a few hours. We will provide food, activities, and crafts from 5-8pm.
-February 12th is the Pasta Dinner following the 4pm Mass. Information and procing will be available by the end of January as well.
-At all Masses on February 12 & 13th, the Outreach team will collect for the Souper Bowl fundraiser. Donations will go to feed those in need at the East Side Soup Kitchen and Open Door.
-Pop Cans! It's time! The Outreach team will also collect pop cans after masses on February 12 & 13th! Leave your cans behind your cars at mass, or drop them off at the garage. All finds will go to help pay for the Outreach trip to Elliot County Kentucky.

Need a Night Out? We'll watch your kids!
From 5-8pm on February 11, the Outreach team will babysit your 1-10 year old children while you take a night off! Donations accepted. Food, games, a craft and movie will be provided. Registration available February 1-8th. See the Flocknotes and parish social media for more details.
Bring Out Your Cans!
High School Outreach will collect cans at all masses February 12 & 13th. Leave them by your cars, or drop them off at the parish garage.

The Synod
The bishops and the Church are set to begin the 2021-23 Synod. So what is a synod? You will hear much more about this in the coming months and year, but at face value, the synod is a gather of church leaders. The purpose of this gathering is to convene, listen, reflect, and ultimately proceed with the course of the church based on what has been discerned.
Think of the synod like this. We, the church (us), are all on a journey together. As we walk this journey, we find ourselves either in step with others in the church, or drifting apart. The synod affords us a chance to rejoin our steps.
As the process begins, let us pray for a strong, open process led by the Holy Spirit.
