Each parish will have its first Sunday of the month food collection this weekend. St. Anthony Parish's collection is for the Cohasset Food Pantry. St. Mary Parish's collection is for Wellspring. In addition to nonperishable food items, you are welcome to bring personal care items.
Additionally, Bridget Kondrat, member of St. Anthony Parish and a senior at Cohasset High School, has organized a non-contact drive-through food drive for local food pantries this Saturday, February 5th, 10 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Parish. While every donation helps, local food pantries are specifically looking for juice, laundry and dish detergent, peanut butter, jelly, mayo, mustard, ketchup, pancake mix and syrup, pasta sauce, sugar, flour, saltine crackers, ritz crackers, and tea bags.
World Day for Consecrated Life was celebrated officially on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 and will be celebrated in parishes over this weekend, February 5-6, 2022. Please pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life and be sure to thank them on their special day. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation. Please also pray that all those men and women who are discerning their vocation in life, particularly those whom the Lord is calling to consecrated life, may they be given the wisdom to hear God's call and the courage to respond generously.
We will be welcoming the Daughters of St. Paul this weekend, February 5 and 6, in Hull, and next weekend, February 12 and 13 in Cohasset.
The Daughters of St. Paul are a community of consecrated women communicating Christ with our lives. For 100 years, they have collaborated with religious, clergy, and laity to help people connect with Jesus Christ and the Church in a secular digital culture. Following their model Saint Paul, they live Christ so that they can give Christ in today’s digital world. Pauline Books and Media is a mission of the Daughters of St. Paul. The Sisters will bring a wonderful selection of inspirational Catholic books, Bibles, Lives of Saints, books for children, and more! Brother Stephen Quense of the Brotherhood of Hope to the Sunday 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Mass in Cohasset. He will offer a brief, post-communion witness to religious and consecrated life and be available to meet parishioners after Mass.
The Blessing of Throats through the intercession of St. Blaise (Optional Memorial: February 3) will be offered during the final hymn of each Mass this weekend, February 5 & 6.
