Hello, Everyone!
It was so nice to have a whole week of preschool!
"Old Man Winter" cannot prevent creative learning from happening in our classroom!
Our journey into "once upon a time" has begun.
It was fun to hear the stories read by our 4th grade Reading Buddies.
This group really enjoyed siting around the campfire, to hear the story of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". They are quite the group of listeners. One never knows what oppinion or ideas children will interject!
Jolisa treated us to "A Mixed Up Fairy Tale". The author took us on a wild ride through several tales...all mixed up. This story elicited many giggles.
Along with old stories children have enjoyed stamping with old gadgets. Whisk, pastry blender, lemon juicer, noodle server, fork, pie server & pizza cutter were dipped into paint...they left their mark on paper! Check them out!
Everyone has also been challenged to cut out circles. These will be glued together & dressed up to create snowmen.
Two very important people have been under the weather! Mrs. Mac has been sick - therefore she hasn't been in preschool "all year"! Several times chidren wanted to know: "But where is Mrs. Mac?"
Mrs. Tinnes hasn't been able to sing with us either . She has been sick also.
Please, say a prayer for their recovery!
Mr. McBride and Mrs. Kron have been helping in our classroom!
Thank you! We really appreciate your assistance!!
Of course we want to
thank you for all the Birthday Treats shared last week!
We noticed something though: These children really
are not very excited about frosting. By their request, most of the frosting was scrapped off cookies or cup cakes & thrown away ;-( Perhaps you want to keep that in mind for treats brought in the future?!
Coming up: Thursday, January 18 is
Pajama Day!We want to invite any adult brave enough to come join us that day to read to and with us.(No, you don't have to wear pajamas, but you may!) Send a book of choice with your child or perhaps the guest reader wants to bring one of his/her childhood favorites to read. We'll read from 10:15 -11:00 that day! Can't wait!
We are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
Mrs. C
