CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK SERVICE PROJECT
As one of our service projects for Catholic Schools Week on Monday, January 28, students in Preschool - Eighth grades will be packing Breakfast Bags for the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul. These bags provide a quick grab-and-go breakfast for families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald Family Room during medical treatment of their child. This project is a way our students can live out the Corporal Works of Mercy by both “feeding the hungry” and “visiting the sick”. The families benefiting from the Ronald McDonald Family Room greatly appreciate this simple gift.
To fill bags, we are asking each student to bring the following by Wednesday, January 24:
Preschool classes - 1 box of spoons or 1 pack of napkins
Grades 1, 2, 3 - 1 box of applesauce or fruit cups
Grades K & 6 - 1 box of granola bars
Grades 4 & 8 - 1 box of pop tarts or individual size boxes of cereal
Grades 5 & 7 - 1 package of 100% juice boxes
