Parish Update -- February 20, 2022
Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph:
Good morning!
Our sympathies to Darren Miller and family on the loss of his father, Dennis Miller.
Synod on Synodality -- Under the direction of Pope Francis the Church is being asked to take time to stop, pray, listen, and discern where the Holy Spirit is leading us as a Church. This Synod on Synodality provides a moment in time for the universal Church to look at the greatest issues facing God’s holy people and asking how are we to respond as we embody the Gospel? We will be participating in this unique opportunity as a diocese and in our parish. Please join us as we prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into the future with restored hope, vision, and mission. A listening session will be offered February 24th at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall.
Donuts and Coffee -- Join us after Mass for Donuts and Coffee after either Mass.
Mardi Gras for the Food Pantry -- On Tuesday, March 1 at 6 PM we will have our Annual Mardi Gras Party, with Jumbalaya and such. Donations will be accepted at the door. The Modern Woodmen will be matching donations up to $2,500. Last year they helped and we were able to raise the full match. Come on out and have some fun with us and help support the Food Pantry. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Ash Wednesday -- Masses for Ash Wednesday are 7 AM, 12:05 Noon, and 7 PM. It's a good time to start thinking about prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for the Lenten season.
Peace,
Fr. Jason
