Synod Night Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who was able to come to the Synod Night last week! Your feedback and information is invaluable to us and the Church. Your voice is immensely important to us. You are all super stars. Thank you for taking the time to be at this event with us. This is not the end! Your feedback and information will be the instigation for changes and implementation of programming and parish activities to best suit you.
Sunday Night Adoration and the March Schedule
Before we finish with our Sunday Night programming in March, we have some special events coming up! This week is Adoration on Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Assumption.
March 13th is the final Sunday Night session in the rooms from 6-8pm.
March 20th we have been given the opportunity to see a fantastic Christian speaker duo that is coming to our general area. The duo is called The Skit Guys. They are coming to a church in Frankenmuth and we are looking to purchase tickets for March 20th! I will send out a permission slip and driver form to all groups this coming week in a special communications. In the mean time, take a look at one of The Skit Guys' clips to see what we are in for.

Music you should know!
Time for and oldie but a goodie. The song, Reckless Love, has a special place in the hearts of all the youth how have gone on a retreat or the outreach trip in recent years. We sang this song to wrap up the Synod Night with the high school last Sunday. If you don't know it, now is your chance to familiarize yourself.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
John 3:16 For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
The Synod
The bishops and the Church are set to begin the 2021-23 Synod. So what is a synod? You will hear much more about this in the coming months and year, but at face value, the synod is a gather of church leaders. The purpose of this gathering is to convene, listen, reflect, and ultimately proceed with the course of the church based on what has been discerned.
Think of the synod like this. We, the church (us), are all on a journey together. As we walk this journey, we find ourselves either in step with others in the church, or drifting apart. The synod affords us a chance to rejoin our steps.
As the process begins, let us pray for a strong, open process led by the Holy Spirit.
