Dear Epiphany Parishioners,
Now that we have embarked on our annual spiritual campaign of deepening our love of Christ during this Season of Lent, I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our recent capital campaign, intended to strengthen our commitment to the Mission of Christ at our parish. These past few years, we have seen a number of real life and world challenges, where we have witnessed on the world stage as well as in the unfolding of our hearts, the Human Will being tested in our time and in our day. Our faith plays such an integral role in our life, especially during adversity and struggle. Jesus’ temptation in the desert, which is the theme of the first Sunday of every Lent in our lives, reminds us that to overcome adversity and temptation, we are to place God’s will before all else.
The Catholic teaching of placing God’s mission for the salvation of souls first in our lives, we have had to find a way to live this truth about our faith during the pandemic these past two years. The Church continued to offer ministry through our faithful volunteers here at Epiphany. And we were faced with the challenge to not abandon our goal of building up the Church, even during a pandemic, when we re-ignited our capital campaign to invest in the future of our parish church and school.
I am so grateful to God for the fruitfulness with which He has blessed our parish through our prayers and the work of our servant hands in the capital campaign, Celebrating Our Faith as Children of God. The capital campaign was an extraordinarily unique challenge because it was placed on pause at the start of the pandemic and then rebooted eighteen months later, right before the Omicron variant wave. As of the closing of our public phase of the campaign, our parish received $4.9 million in pledges from 643 generous families. It is a tremendous aggregate gift amount! We know as Children of God, that our Father in heaven loves to answer the prayers of His children who come to Him in faith and in love. And He especially loves to answer our prayers through the generosity of others—that is, through the unfolding of his generosity through the faithfulness of his children.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the general chairs of our capital campaign, Sue and Noel Rando for their dedication to this praiseworthy endeavor. As well as thank all of our campaign leaders and volunteers from the parish and the school who offered their time, talent and treasure to helping us achieve our goals. To the parishioners who made a 4-year or one-time gift to the capital campaign, your generosity and offering of love inspire us all! Thank you from the heart of our parish!!
We expect to have the new electronic sign for our parish installed next month as part of our capital campaign campus improvements. Attached you will find the Capital Campaign Report that summaries the fruits of our labor. The 4-year redemption period runs until December of 2025. It's still not too late to give to our capital campaign! You can still send in a pledge card or make a gift or pledge on-line through our parish webpage:

Thank you for your prayers and magnanimous support! Let us continue to give praise and thanksgiving to God the Father for showing His Love for His People, and His love for you, as His faithful children.
Devotedly yours in Christ,
Rev. Tom Lam
