Hello, Everyone!
We barely had preschool time last week. These darn late starts!
But what little time we had was filled with fun!
It was great just to relax in pajamas & have parents & a few grandmothers come to read to us!
THANK YOU if you were one of them!
Snowmen have to be "autographed". Then they can join the others on the bulletin board in our classroom! Take a look at them when you walk into our room.
On Monday morning I was met with silence & dumbfounded looks when I shared what all did not exist a long time ago...electricity, water faucets or flushing toilets, cars,TV, CD Players, cook stoves, refrigerators... how did grown-ups & children manage to do without all that?
Imagine having to read by candle light?
Getting water with a bucket from a well?
Walking, riding a horse or peddling your bike to get places?
Building a fire to cook a meal?
What!? No grocery store?
They were amazed & excited to listen to LP's on our old record player! Yes, it sounds just like "in the old days"! And we learned to dance the hokey-pokey!
Show & Share brought some cool old toys to light, too!
This group had fun reciting nursery rhymes & hearing some that are new to us.
Mrs. Mac discovered "Silly Nursery Rhymes"...highly entertaining! Read on:
Rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub.
And what do you think they said?
"Too crowded, we fear,
let's get out of here,
and each take a shower instead."
Next week is Catholic Schools week! So -
Monday children may come wearing clothes sporting Superman logos or colors.
Tuesday Batman rules. Clothing with Batman logo or Hawkeye colors will be it.
Friday? Dare to wear something with Spiderman logo or dress up.
You & your child decide!
Thanks for all the tasty snacks this & last week.
Mrs. Mac & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
