Third Sunday of Lent
Dear Students and Parishioners,
With the UCSB quarter ending on Friday and most students being away for Spring Break, the parish office will be closed next week. Messages will still be received, but a response may take somewhat longer than usual. The schedule for Masses as well as Adoration and Confessions remains unchanged. For all those traveling, have a great time away—and see you back at St. Mark’s very soon!

1st Communion Families
Do you have a child preparing for 1st Communion at St. Raphael’s, but you attend Mass here at St. Mark’s? For those families who come regularly to St. Mark’s and wish to have their child’s 1st Communion take place here, please contact the St. Mark’s Parish Office so that we can keep you updated about when and how it will be celebrated—(805) 968-1078 or parish-3070@la-archdiocese.org. The deadline to inform the Parish Office is April 1st. We look forward to celebrating this joyful occasion with your family!

Talking to teens about edibles
For many young people, the widespread legalization of marijuana has provided more opportunities to try it, and in a variety of ways. Edibles — marijuana-infused brownies, gummies, candies, and other foods — are gaining popularity. Talk to your teens about the risks associated with marijuana in any form, even snacks.

Tercer Domingo de Cuaresma
Estimados estudiantes y feligreses,
Dado que el trimestre de UCSB se termina el viernes y la mayoría de los estudiantes estarán fuera durante las vacaciones de primavera, la oficina parroquial estará cerrada la próxima semana. Familias de Primera Comunión
¿Tiene un hijo o hija preparándose para la Primera Comunión en San Rafael, pero asiste a Misa aquí en San Marcos? Para aquellas familias que vienen regularmente a San Marcos y desean que la Primera Comunión de sus hijos se realice aquí, comuníquese con la Oficina Parroquial de San Marcos para que podamos mantenerlos actualizados sobre cómo y cuándo se celebrará: (805) 968-1078 o parroquia-3070@la-archdiocese.org. La fecha límite para informar a la Oficina Parroquial es el 1 de abril. ¡Esperamos celebrar esta alegre ocasión con su familia!
Proyecto de Cuaresma
Ven a cocinar comidas caseras para los estudiantes de la secundaria, preparatoria, y las familias con pocos recursos para que tengan para comer durante toda la semana. Estaremos cocinando viernes, el 1 de abril y el 8 de abril, de 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM y 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Nos pueden encontrar en la cocina de la parroquia. ¡Esperemos verlos allí!
Vía Crucis
El Vía Crucis tomará lugar cada viernes durante la Cuaresma:
6:00 PM en ingles (inmediatamente después de la misa diaria de las 5:15 PM)

Para muchos jóvenes, la legalización generalizada de la marihuana ha dado más oportunidades para probarla, y en una variedad de formas.
