Lenten Activity Packet
We are about halfway through Lent, and WWCS families may be looking for ways to enter more fully into the season. One easy way to to celebrate Lent with your own family at home is to use this Lenten activity packet, courtesy of the Catholic Identity Committee. It is filled with scripture readings, activities, and fasting suggestions for each week of Lent that your family can engage in together! Little League Challenger Volunteer Opportunity
Little League Challenger works with special needs children who want to play baseball, but who need assistance to do so. Our local Challenger Baseball organization is looking for student volunteers for the upcoming season. Volunteers will help children swing, throw, and run the bases. No athletic skills are required, all you need is a kind heart and a willingness to assist your player when needed.
The Challenger league goes from April 15 through May 13, and games will be at the Pacific Little League fields. If volunteers cannot make it every week, that's okay! For more information about how to sign up, contact Mrs. Sutlick.
DeSales Knowledge Bowl Takes 4th at State!
Since September, the members of our DeSales Knowledge Bowl team have been practicing every Wednesday, scrimmaging and competing against other schools to prepare for regional and state competition. After winning the regional meet February 8, the team earned the chance to compete at the WA State Knowledge Bowl Tournament in Richland on March 19. They competed against 17 other schools in the 2B category, playing “up” from our 1B status.
After a written test and four preliminary Oral Rounds of 50 questions each, they placed second in their flight of nine teams. In the 50-question Semifinal Round against NW Christian and Liberty HS, they placed second to NW Christian. That made them eligible to compete in a Championship Round for the highest possible rank of 4th place, which they earned by besting Seton Catholic and Liberty Bell High School!
Congratulations to the six members of the number one team (pictured) as well as the other nine players who competed throughout the season!

Last Chance to Order Yearbooks!
Remember to order your Yearbook by March 31st! We need to know how many to purchase from the supplier, and we want to make sure that there are enough for everyone who wants one. If you forget to order, there will only be a handful of extras available, and they will be offered on a first come first served basis. There are two different yearbooks available, one for Assumption students, and one for DeSales students.
Yearbook Cost:
Assumption K-6 Book $25.00
DeSales 7-12 Book $50.00

Payments can be made with cash or check. Your payment should be placed in an envelope marked with your student's name, and that envelope can be turned into the school office. Please make checks payable to Assumption Catholic School or DeSales Catholic School.

Ryan Chase is WIAA Athlete of the Week!
Ryan Chase was selected as a "WIAA Athlete of the Week" for his performance against Dayton/Waitsburg last week in Baseball! Ryan pitched a no-hitter in five innings, throwing 73 pitches, and striking out every single batter for a total of 15 strikeouts! Ryan also had two hits resulting in 4 RBI's. All of this helped DeSales secure a 21-0 victory!
Ticket Sales for HOPE Are in Full-Swing!

Thank you to everyone who has already purchesed tickets to the Enchanted Night of HOPE! If you still need to get your tickets, just click the button below to purchase them online!
Our HOPE team is hoping to have all donations for the auction in by Monday, March 28. The items that have been donating so far have been wonderful, and are so appreciated! If you haven't gotten involved yet, please consider donating an item, an experience, a gift certificate, or a themed basket to the auction! Even if you donate a small gift card, those can be used to strengthen existing action packages, or used to create some new auction items altogether!
There are three ways to give:
- Donate Scrip gift cards: purchase a SCRIP gift card or any gift card of choice to help create or strengthen an auction package!
- Donate an item, experience, or trip: coordinate with the HOPE Auction Team to create a unique package!
- Sponsor an auction package: contact our Auction Team to donate money towards a custom auction basket!
You can either pick up a donation form at the Assumption or DeSales school office, or you can enter your donation online. For more information, contact Rosalie Lesko (509-520-2889), Lexi Pryor, or Kristin Basel.
WWCS Holy Hour
Wednesdays at 4:00 PM - St. Patrick Church
The WWCS Wednesday Holy Hour is held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM, at St. Patrick Church. Though this is a Walla Walla Catholic Schools event, it is also open to the community and we hope that you will join us in prayer!
