Hello, Everyone!
Old Man Winter gave us a chance to play a little bit outside!
Mrs. Mac was busy playing a board game with several friends. We continue to recite nursery Rhymes & bravely listen to the LP's on the old record player. The sound quality just "ain't what it used to be". ;-(
Winter stories, Fairy Tales, & Nursery Rhymes were read to us by Reading Buddies.
The story of "The Mitten" was enjoyed by all, especially after we got the props out & children could act out the story in small groups.
Paper folded in half had paint "plopped"onto it. Then the artist folded the blank half over the color & "smushed" the paint between the layers of paper around. It was amazing to see the "cool colors" when the paper was unfolded.
Next step: Cut around the tracing of a mitten through 2 layers.
When finished the child has a matching pair of mittens! We hope to get this done by tomorrow.
Penny War: So far 3 yr. Preschool has collected a total of $ 62.89.
However, a "Silver Scoundrel" set us back, leaving us with only a + $ 11.85!
As of Thursday St. James School has raised a total of $ 395.- Yeah!
It's not to late to come & spend time in our classroom with us tomorrow! Come & do so from 10:15 - 11:00!
Thank you for all the tasty snacks provided this week!
We are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
