DCYC RETREAT
FEBRUARY 2ND-4TH
Meet Friday February 2nd in front of church 4:30PM, we need to leave promptly at 5:00PM
Return Sunday, February 4th approx. 2:00 PM and meet in front of the church in the Narthex. (Students will text you on way back)
We will be staying at the Residence Inn 501 South University Parks Drive, Waco, TX 76706.
All retreat chaperones are Ethics and Integrity compliant with the Diocese of Austin, which includes a background check.
What to bring:
- Outcry Real Love/Real Life t-shirt (If you don’t have one they can be purchased for $10)
- Casual, comfortable, & modest clothing (Nike shorts/leggings, tennis shoes, and T-shirts are the usual attire). One T-Shirt will be provided. Preferably not Nike shorts for Mass on Sunday.
- extra set of clothing in case of wet weather
- swim suit (girls should wear a t shirt over 2 piece suits)
- Rain poncho
- p.j.'s
- Closed toe shoes
- Sweatshirt or jacket (we may be outside at night)
- Reusable water bottle
- Toiletries/towel
- Bible, rosary
- Money for two or three inexpensive meals, snacks, or souvenirs
- Cell phone or camera
- Recreational equipment (i.e. basketball/Frisbee - there will be time for games)
- Snack to share; to avoid allergies-No peanuts please! (optional)
- Something to kneel on during adoration (optional)
- Small knapsack to carry to the convention (optional)
Reminder when packing:
- please do not over-pack
- Soft sided bags work best
Phones are allowed but should only be used for emergency & group activities. Students are responsible for items brought to retreat so please consider whether possible loss or damage is worth bringing the item. No electronic games please, we want students to be engaged in building a community atmosphere.

Medications—will be kept by Joelle Maryn, must be properly labeled. Please include directions. If student needs to keep an inhaler or Epipen with them please send notes.
