SVdP: Deliverers Needed
Saint Vincent de Paul Society is extremely low on deliverers for food that we give to families and the disabled. This is a vital ministry because many of those we serve have no transportation and have trouble getting around because of health concerns. If you would be interested in helping out, even just for a few weeks, it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact
matt25help@gmail.com if interested.
The YMCA of Muncie Wants Your OpinionThe YMCA of Muncie is conducting a needs assessment and would like your input to help design services focused on the community. Based on this assessment, the Y will create programs and services that address issues in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. CLICKING THIS LINK will take you to an online survey. Responses are not individually tracked and are confidential. The assessment should take five minutes and the results will be compiled into an executive summary that will be shared with us and others partnering with the Y. If you have any questions, contact Kelli Petroviak at (765) 741- 5017 or by email at kpetroviak@muncieymca.org. Thank you in advance for your time and meaningful feedback.Meet Some Cardinal Catholic StudentsResidents, would you like to get to know our Cardinal Catholic students better? This is your chance! We are looking for resident parishioners to host 2 -3 students in your home for dinner in the evening on Sunday, February 18. This will be a casual time for our residents and students to get to know one another better. If you are interested in hosting, please sign up on the Google Doc on our Facebook page, St. Francis of Assisi Newman Center, or on the sign up sheet in the Narthex by Monday, February 12. Questions, please contact Tara or Sarah in the parish office at 288-6180.
Drivers NeededNext month, the Newman Center will be hosting its 10th Koinonia Retreat! Being held in Alexandria, IN, we will need parishioner drivers to help take students to the center and back here to BSU on the dates of February 23rd and February 25th. Your service will be deeply appreciated! If you are interested or for more information, please contact Kelli Reutman at kareutman@bsu.edu.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Thoughts for the Weekend:
St. Blaise's feast day is this Saturday-- February 3rd! A "physician of the soul," St. Blaise had a wonderful, spectacular life full of miracles.
Read his biography
HERE to learn more about him.
Even if we are not at St. Blaise's level yet of wonderful, spectacular events, what miracles have we experienced in our life? What can we do to continue our way to sainthood?
