As we approach Holy Week and anticipate the arrival of Easter, let us consider this reflection from Pope Francis, who invites us to look for signs of Christ's Resurrection in nature:
"We are given to contemplate in the world around us signs of the Resurrection, Easter, which operates a new creation... Creation is a wonderful gift that God has placed in our hands that we may enter into a relationship with him and recognize the imprint of his loving plan, the achievement of which we are all called to work toward together, day after day."
As spring unfolds, let us work together to celebrate nature, appreciate its beauty, and protect our common home. In this Spring Edition, we have shared ways that you can participate in caring for creation at our parish and in our diocese. May these activities help us become more mindful of our care for creation during this season. Check out the events below and join us as we seek to care for each other and for the environment this spring.
Sincerely,
MQHR Care for Creation Committee
