How do you deal with delay? What’s your reaction to waiting? Sure, it’s hard to wait for something you want to have happen or a thing you want to get. But what about something so significant as the coming of Jesus. How are we to live as we wait for the soon coming of our Savior?

On Sabbath, April 9, Pastor Tara VinCross will preach a message, “Waiting for the Lord.” This week you are invited to pray and reflect on Matthew 24:1-14 and 2 Peter 3:8-15 in preparation for the message. Come and dig deeper together in the word of God and what this means for our lives today.

We welcome special guests from Loma Linda Academy, as the Wind Symphony blesses us with their music in worship this Sabbath.

You're invited to our Were You There? resurrection celebration next week! Our senior pastor, Tara VinCross, has a preview of what's to come!

Join us for an intergenerational Agape Feast featuring worship, a meal, foot washing, and communion in preparation for Easter. 

April 16 | 9:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. 

Location: Sanctuary

Relive passion week through the eyes of the disciples of Emmaus. Special music will include our children’s choir and youth.

This resurrection celebration will be a time of rejoicing, reflecting, and sharing stories of how the resurrection has made a difference in our own lives. Bring your chairs and instruments! It's going to be a great time of singing and fellowship! 

Please don't forget to stop by and have your picture taken for our church directory. We'll be taking pictures from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the fish pond area tomorrow. Our last day to take pictures for the directory is next Sabbath, April 16. 

Happy people with eager hands applied the first coat of Simply White to the Elias Community Center on Sunday. One more work bee this Sunday, April 10, should finish the common area to be ready for the floor installation that begins on Monday. Special shout out to Elise, Emery, Zane, Elaina, and Myla for their amazing efforts. The ceiling tile is going up and we are to the point we can easily imagine the completed project. Stop by on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - Noon ready to paint or ready to encourage our crew.

Jean Patterson participated in the Senior Olympics for veterans for several years, taking home a gold medal every time she participated! Although macular degeneration has taken most of her eyesight in recent years, it hasn’t stopped her from participating in sports or church. She continues telling others about her friend, Jesus. You can make a difference by just collecting your recyclable aluminum cans and plastic drink bottles to help a local family in need. Please bring your clean and empty recyclables in a contained bag to our church office Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They will be greatly appreciated!

The memorial service for Dr. Mike Kirby is tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Please keep his wife, Gina, and their family in your prayers.
