Dear Confirmation Parents,
We hope this message finds you and your families doing well.
We are writing today to provide the online registration form and information regarding the Sacrament of Confirmation to be conferred this coming fall 2022. This year, the Confirmations for St. Mary's - St. Helen's - St. Thecla's Parish will take place at St. Mary's in Hanover on Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
In order to complete the registration for Confirmation, you will need to know your son or daughter's intended Confirmation name, sponsor, and Baptismal information. Please be sure to review the attached document below, which outlines the requirements for choosing a Confirmation name and sponsor. As was discussed in class, the sponsor must be a confirmed Catholic who regularly practices their faith and cannot be a parent of the Confirmation candidate.
The Confirmation Registration Form can be accessed at the bottom of this message or by clicking here. When filling out the form, you will be able to select the time that works best for you and your family. There are a limited number of spaces available for each of the Confirmation ceremonies. Times are assigned on a first come, first served basis. As the Confirmation date draws closer (the end of August/beginning of September) you will receive more information from us specific to the Confirmation ceremony as well as the Confirmation Rehearsal date and time.
If you have any questions regarding Confirmation, the best way to reach us is to send an email to Confirmation@LifeTeenSMASH.com. We will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible and kindly ask for your patience should you not hear back right away.
Finally, we want to encourage your teens (and you) to keep attending Life Teen Mass on Sundays at 6 p.m. at St. Mary's in Hanover. It has been awesome to have so many Confirmation candidates join us throughout the year after ROC class, but as they continue to prepare for Confirmation and become fully initiated members of the Church, attending Mass each week should be a priority. In addition to the Mass, we also have tons of events and activities throughout the year for high school teens which can be found on LifeTeenSMASH.com.
We are looking forward to celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation with you all. Be assured of our continued prayers for you and our Confirmandi.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
