Just a quick reminder that the 2018 Shared Blessings Parish Appeal is finishing up and Commitment Sunday is this weekend.
When Jesus describes stewardship, he is helping us to understand that our lives, our talents, abilities and our financial resources are all given to us by God in trust. God trusts that we will care for these gifts, but Jesus also tells us that God’s way of caring is sharing.
Shared Blessings. What does this mean for us as Saint Simon parishioners? As a parish, we have many blessings that God has provided to our families. God has also provided wonderful ministries and outreach programs for our parish. Christ calls us to serve one another, and we have the opportunity to share our blessings with others.
We are asking you to prayerfully consider your involvement in our many ministries and your financial commitment in 2018. Your response to the annual appeal helps the parish staff plan many of our wonderful ministries, outreach programs and helps budget financially for our fiscal year.
Please bring your appeal sheet to Sunday Mass. If you need a copy of the appeal sheet you can either drop by the parish office or visit us online to submit.
