Hello!
Samme Rogers, St. Austin School art teacher, is calling on all of our talented artists to help her out! Fr. Chuck asked our community to create a mural for a covered walkway facing Guadalupe St. The pictures show the location of the mural. We will be working on the outside wall that is highlighted by the red rectangle. The wall is 92'x4'. A picture of the mural is above the street location.
She will be supervising painting days on May 7th, 14th, and 15th. The more people that can help out, the quicker it will be out for our community and passer-byers to see! She will be out there from 8 am – 4 pm. Helping out will be eligible for service hours.
She is asking for 5th graders through adults to volunteer because we will be working in a heavy traffic area. If younger children/siblings want to come, we need parents/guardian to stay and supervise younger children. ALL are welcome to pick up a brush!
Pack snacks and water bottles, and make sure to dress in clothes that can get paint on them and get dirty.
THANK YOU!!!
