We are so glad you are here.
We are looking forward to getting to know you better!
MID-WEEK DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
Greetings, Church Friends and Family!! The verse that came to mind this week, as I’m dealing with a few things outside of my immediate control, was Luke 24:36. “36 And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said.”
You know, I’ve come to realize that Peace is not merely a blissful feeling stripped of the tensions of worry. It's much more. Peace is really the presence and rule of God.
Where God rules and is in control, there is peace. It is a state of reverence for and worship of God. Jesus is the King of the kingdom. Wherever He goes, He brings the rule of God.
Wherever He goes, He brings the peace of God. That is why He is the great Peacemaker. Therefore, even during a great crisis, people can experience the control and presence of God and be kept in his peace. Peace is more than a feeling. That is the reality of God. Paul speaks of a peace “which exceeds anything we can understand." (Phil 4: 7). That's the peace of God.
If peace eludes you, you can pray the following: "Lord, please show me where You are in this situation." I encourage you to seek God in your life.
This year we are blessed that the 2022 AYP Convention is coming to the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex July 29 – 31, 2022. Reserve your spot today and stay tuned as additional information is released!

The sermon is entitled, “Empowered Leaders” which will focus on God Delivers. With scripture taken from Judges 2:16 as a welcoming text.
Potluck
We will have our regular potluck (1st and 3rd Sabbaths of the month) after the service. Please consider joining us. If possible, please bring a dish to share.
We hope that you will stay for our screening of the “Days of Noah” documentary presentation, following the meal.
Organizing Committee
(for the Nominating Committee)
Thank you to all who agreed to serve on this special little committee. We will meet during our potluck meal. So please ensure you grab a plate, and head to the classroom on the far right, back of the church. We will meet briefly, in what promises to be a relatively short meeting to nominate members of the Nominating Committee for the next term of office.
We hope that you will stay for our screening of the “Days of Noah” documentary presentation, following the meal.
Screening: Days of Noah
Continuing, May 7th, (and every 1st and 3rd Saturday), following our potluck meal we will be streaming a portion of the Days of Noah Documentary, and engage in subsequent study and discussion. Consider joining us for the day!
GIVING MOMENT
We Give because God Gave First - By contributing to what our Lewisville Campus and the Adventist Church is doing in our communities and around the world, we are using what God has given us to share the good news of Jesus by serving others. Tithing and giving offering is more than merely giving. One of the ways we express our gratitude to God is by giving our tithes and offerings.
KSCS
(KNOWLEDGE SEEKERS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY)
KSCS MOTHER'S DAY LUNCHEON - Sunday, May 8th 12:00PM - Come join us as we celebrate one of the most precious gifts God has given us - the mothers in our lives! Treat your mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, or friend to a beautiful luncheon held in the Knowledge Seekers Fellowship Hall. This event is love-donation based, and we will have flowers & chocolates for sale. Be on the lookout for our registration link or contact Mrs. Huffin ASAP
PRAYER REQUESTS
Yes, we have several prayer groups that meet during the week, but some have expressed the need to be able to communicate prayer requests to bring before the Lord during our worship service, and they either do not attend in person at present or do not feel comfortable presenting their requests in person. This may also help us cut sometime during our service if we have the requests ready to go.
Please submit your prayer requests that you want to be prayed over during church service, to Pastor Eugene, 1. Via email (eugene@arlingtonadventist.com) or 2. Via Text Message or WhatsApp. (512.708.0600)

CLOSING REMARKS & HOUSEKEEPING
- I know, realize and appreciate that every one of us has careers and responsibilities outside of our church fellowship. I do understand how overwhelming these responsibilities could be. That being said, I would love to kindly ask, that if you’ve agreed to serve in any capacity whatsoever, and life’s responsibilities and or challenges come knocking, please reach out, and try to find someone to cover your responsibilities for the affected time frame.
- Should you wish to include anything in the Mid-week minute newsletter, please ensure to send the information to Pr. Eugene by Wednesday at Noon. The Mid-week Minute will be distributed with what has been received by that time to ensure an on-time publication.
Peace and Blessings!!
Pr. Eugene
