Greetings everyone! Attached is our bulletin for this Sunday, May 8, The Fourth Sunday of Easter (Good Shepherd Sunday) and a reflection from Fr. Canisius.
We have a lot to celebrate this weekend! Tomorrow at our 4pm liturgy, thirteen of our young people will celebrate their First Holy Communion. We welcome them with joy to the table of the Lord!
We also celebrate the special women in our lives this Mother's Day--mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, all those who model the role of mother in our lives, both living and deceased--as we begin our Mother's Day Novena on Sunday.
This Sunday is also the World Day of Prayer for Vocations (join us in offering the prayer below) and the 4th celebration day in the Year of the Eucharist--Christ in the Priest-Celebrant (see attached to learn more).
Prayer for Vocations
God our Father, we thank you for calling men and women to serve in your Son’s Kingdom as priests, deacons, and consecrated persons. Send your Holy Spirit to help others to respond generously and courageously to your call. May our community of faith support vocations of sacrificial love in our youth and young adults. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We will celebrate a May Crowning after the 8:30am Mass this Sunday (5/8). There will be a procession out of the church to the Mary Garden for a brief prayer service and crowning of the Mary statue. Please join us!
LIVESTREAM UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
For the past two years St. Charles Borromeo Parish has been blessed with the capability of live-streaming two Masses per weekend for those unable to attend in-person due to their circumstances. Starting May 7, we will be reducing the live-streaming of Sunday Mass to once per weekend, the Saturday 4:00 pm Mass. A big thank you goes to Michael Alegieunu who has and continues to do an awesome job with the live-streaming of Masses. The daily broadcast will continue for the time being. We will broadcast other special events as deemed necessary.

Legion of Mary
Members of the Legion of Mary will hold a recruitment drive after all masses the weekend of 5/21-5/22. They will be in the narthex to answer your questions and pass out literature to all. Feel free to contact Cecelia Coffey in advance at ceceliacoffey92@gmail.com or 410-458-9899 (cell).
Sacristan-in-Training Needed
We are looking for a young adult,
age 18-21, to train as a sacristan
for all weekend Masses. This is a
part-time, paid position; Saturdays,
3pm-5:30pm and Sundays, 8am-
12:30pm. Duties include setting up
the worship space for Mass, running the livestream feed, and general assistance with the flow of the liturgy. Interested candidates should contact the parish office to speak with Fr. Canisius.
To celebrate the Year Of the Eucharist, the Archdiocese of Baltimore is sponsoring an art contest inspired by the theme of our fourfold Encounter with Christ in the Eucharistic Liturgy (The Eucharist, the Word, the Priest-Celebrant, and the Congregation). Open to all ages! Any kind of artistic media that can be uploaded/shared digitally is welcome (e.g. drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, music, poetry, short story, video, etc...)
