A note from our Pastor:
Happy Good Shepherd Sunday!
Each year on the 4th Sunday of Easter we are graced with a Gospel account that fleshes out Jesus’ identity as our Good Shepherd. This year we also celebrate Mother’s Day today! I hope that all the moms have a wonderful day and that their families show them some love & appreciation, not just today, but every day!
As we come out of two years of strangeness & difficulty, may we stride into this summer with enthusiasm and determination. May we be excited to see each other at our gatherings, and in our daily wanderings around town. May we not let the difficult and troubling events in the larger world harm or diminish our capacity for love & compassion - our capacity to truly be a community.
There is new life abounding as we continue through our springtime. May that new life also encompass us - in just a week Our Lady’s Kitchen will reopen for the first time in over 2 years - we have not one but 2 Bible Studies moving along - we will be visited by Missionaries in July as we are each summer, and I look forward to welcoming all the folks that join us in our beautiful part of Maine for the summer. As we move into June, we will have all our coverage back in place and our Mass schedule will expand back to 6 Masses a weekend as we add back in the Saturday evening 6:00 P.M. Mass at St. Thomas the Sunday morning 8:00 A.M. at St. Agnes.
I would also love to have a social gathering for our Parishes this summer and am looking for folks who would be interested in helping to plan and organize such an event. If that’s you, please contact the office!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
Peace & God Bless!
