Honor our Veterans
Please consider joining us for the May 2022 Honor Flight Rally on May 21st. Indy Honor Flight is a
one-day trip of a lifetime for WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans to see their memorials in Washington, D.C. for free! Upon the return of their flights, the veterans are taken to Decatur High School for a welcome home rally for the community to express the thanks many of these men and women never received. The rally is filled with music, signs, families and children. It is a beautiful experience that is life changing for the Veterans and for those in attendance. Consider carpooling with us to Decatur High School to show your support to those who fought for the cause of freedom. We will leave Church of the Blessed Sacrament at approximately 6:15 PM for the 7:30 PM rally. This is a perfect opportunity to bring small children to participate in an act of service, especially during the month of May. Please contact Elizabeth Gorney to join us or if you have questions at
egorney@parish.dol-in.org or 317-652-8746. If you are unable to join us on the 21
st, you may consider attending the Greater Lafayette Honor Flight Welcome Home Rally at 7:30 PM at the Purdue Airport on May 17th.
Don’t forget to fill out your pledge card and offer a
sacrifice on May 21st for those suffering from mental illness.

Memorial Day Mass
“No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.” – St. Ambrose
Please join us for Mass as we thank, honor and pray for those who fought and died for the cause of freedom this Memorial Day, May 30th at 9:00 AM. This year, we are working with the St. Boniface & St. Lawrence Catholic Pastorate to host Mass at St. Boniface Cemetery. Fr. Mark Walter will be concelebrating. If you are able to join us, please park on the outer lanes of the cemetery to allow those needing a shorter walk to park closer. If you are also able, please bring a chair to allow the provided chairs to be used by those who are unable to carry one.
Don't forget to sign up to get your picture taken for our parish directory. We still have openings for May 17th-21st.
