One Faith, One Body
Good morning/afternoon/evening fellow parishioners,
On Pentecost Sunday, June 5th St. Charles Borromeo Parish is celebrating the cultural richness of our community; the Cultural Heritage represented here every Sunday. Come celebrate the universality of Catholicism. Feel free to wear the dress of your cultural heritage.
We invite everyone to attend the 11:00 am mass on June 5th and to bring a non-perishable item for the offertory (will be donated to Food Pantry).
After the Mass at 12:30 pm running until 5pm, join us for a parish-wide picnic on the space between the Church and Rectory. We will provide the typical picnic fare (hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks). There will also be entertainment from various groups at the parish and games.
What we ask is you bring a dish (main, side or desert) representing your background and heritage to share with everyone (please make sure to include a list of ingredients). All dishes can be dropped off in the Rectory basement room before 11:00 am mass. Please label the dish and the country it represents. Hot dishes should be in an aluminum pan that can be placed in a chafing dish. If you can’t or don’t normally come to the 11:00 am mass, still bring your family to the picnic.
If you have any questions, there will be a flyer in next week’s bulletin with contact information for the mass and picnic.
We look forward to you and your family joining us on the 5th of June.
Thank you
Fr. Canisius Tah
