A note from our Pastor:
Today we are once again called to help our Diocese of Portland in its job of ministering to all the people of Maine. The Diocese of Portland's Catholic Appeal embraces the mission of sharing God’s mercy through 18 different ministries across the diocese. The Catholic Appeal multiplies the work of one person, one parish, to reach thousands of faithful, thousands of those hungry for our faith, eager to learn of and to feel God’s mercy in their lives. The Catholic Appeal depends on us – parishioners across the State of Maine - to accomplish this.
It has been 3 years since we were able to be together at Mass to either fill out our Appeal envelopes or to take them home to pray about our yearly contribution. I know that the last two years have been trying for all of us, and I am buoyed up more and more each weekend as I see more people coming back to Mass. All of the people that make up our parishes of Our Lady of the Snows & St. Agnes have truly given of themselves in this time to make sure our Parish has continued to be able to minister in our area of Maine and to pay our own bills. I have continually been humbled by your generosity as you continue to support the Parishes even as all of us have been struggling.
I ask that you all pray about how you can help with a donation to the Catholic Appeal this year. It is a tremendous effort by all the Catholics of the State to minister to our sisters and brothers in need. If you have questions or comments, or you want more information about the Catholic Appeal please take one of the informational sheets - or give the office a call we would love to hear from you!
Peace & God Bless!
