Good Evening,
As your pastor I’m sure many of you understand predicaments that we can be faced with and decisions that need to be made pertaining to the health, welfare, and courteousness of our attendees.
I elected not to bring this to the attention of the Leadership Team so that if anyone has any disagreements with my decision making, they will only have me to see.
First, let me say this: I love guns! I own guns. I carry a gun…almost always. I support our Second Amendment Rights to bare arms. However, I expect people to follow our rule at church to keep any and all firearms hidden. Our NO SHOW policy is to make sure everyone feels safe, especially our children. If you don’t have a concealed license then I highly suggest getting one if you want to carry concealed.
Our Security Team and I will begin reminding anyone that shows up with a firearm open carry to either cover it up or put it in your vehicle. I’m sure everyone understands this common sense rule.
Second, I Love Dogs! Dogs are the best and I love seeing the dogs around church. But because of recent distractions I am asking that folks not bring pets to church on Sunday morning. As if there’s not enough distractions when someone is preaching, dogs barking is one we can do without. I am looking at having Pet Day where everyone can bring their animals but, please, to save having any more distractions on Sunday morning let’s leave the pets at home.
I hope everyone concerned understands. I surely don’t want to offend anyone.
Have a great evening!
Preacherman
