Stay On
This, rather, is the fasting that I wish: releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; Setting free the oppressed, breaking every yoke; Sharing your bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless; Clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own. (Isaiah 58: 6-7)
Every journey has a beginning and every beginning has an end. A good beginning is not enough. We must keep on going from day to day through our daily struggles in order to guarantee that our end will also be good.
With God's grace, we can finish the race, by turning back to Him fully repentant.
Lord, grant me patience and perseverance. Let my initial enthusiasm not diminish in me but lead me happily to my end.
Peace in Christ,
