Dear Clonmelians,
I wish to congratulate you for your commitment to the Capital Campaign, “Investing in Our Faith, Family, & Future.” You have shown a deep and abiding commitment to the future of our parish for generations to come. After a thorough review of our financial picture we’ve been granted permission to move to the next step of our building project: interviewing construction firms to determine who we will contract with to build our new church. Those interviews are anticipated in early June.
Once a construction firm has been selected they will work with our architect to complete the construction documents. At that time we will set a ground-breaking ceremony for the parish. I hope to schedule the ground-breaking later this summer.
We are also making progress on the rectory. A meeting to determine where to access and bring power to the location was held this week. It is anticipated that we will soon see the construction phase of the rectory underway.
I invite you to continue praying to the Holy Spirit to guide us at each step in this process. Every component takes time. When you find yourself curious or frustrated at the process, please bring those concerns to the building committee or myself. We will do our best to provide you with understanding.
Fr. Joe
