Good Afternoon Pax Christi Families and Parishioners,
Pax Week is the new home for a couple camps that have a long history here at Pax Christi.
This year we are running the Elementary Summer Church Camp and the Middle School Service Week during the same week of the Summer. We hope this will make both camps more accessible for families and volunteers of all ages.
On top of that we are adding High School Activity Nights, new opportunities just for our high school students.
This week will take the effort of our entire parish. We hope for a number of children and youth to signup, so we will need help from parents and adults in various volunteer roles.

Help Make Pax Week an Awesome Week for Our Children & Teens
There is an excitement and energy that comes from large groups; we'd love to have our entire parish involved in Pax Week in some way, shape, or form. We'd love to have your help in promoting Pax Week. Invite your child's/teen's friends, reach out to family friends and other parishioners. We think Pax Week will be an awesome way to kick-off summer, but we need your support to make it so.
Some ways you can help:
- Forward this email to family friends, other parishioners, etc...
- Talk about Pax Week while you are chatting with parents at soccer games or other activities
- Share the poster (attached)
- Have your child/teen invite their friends (it's always easier to come to something when there is a familiar face)

Volunteer
Adults & High School Students
We have a variety of volunteer roles as well as a variety of ages volunteers can work with this year. If you are thinking you'd like to help out in some way shape or form let us know by signing up.

Elementary Summer Church Camp Roles (8:30 am-12:30 pm):
- Check-in
- Small Group/Class Guide
- Music (instruments)
- Mass Buddy (sitting with children during Mass)
- Skits (somebody to direct and some actors)
- Snacks
- Games
- Art Projects
- Organize Supplies (weeks leading up to Pax Week)
- Daily Store/Supply Runner (during camp)
- Photography/Videography
- Liturgical Ministers (Altar Servers, Readers, Extraordinary Ministers)
Middle School Service Week Roles (8:30 am-4:30 pm):
- Check-in
- Small Group Guide
- Service Site Supervisor
- Snacks
- Games
- Photographer/Videographer
- Transportation to and from Service Sites
High School Activity Night Roles (typically 7:00-10:00 pm):
- Guide/Adult Participant (really we need adults who want to spend time with our high school students, who want to participate in the activities with the students, and who can help with prayer as needed). Training will be provided.
Elementary Summer Church Camp
8:30 am-12:30 pm M-F
For children 3 years of age through current 4th graders.
Camp includes: Mass, programming, skits, prayer, snacks, arts and crafts, games, music, and more!
Middle School Service Week
8:30 am-4:30 pm M-F
For students currently in grades 5-7.
Service Week includes: Mass, programming, service activities, prayer, snacks, small groups, games, and more!
High School Activity Nights
Typically 7:00-10:00 pm M-F
For students currently in grades 8-12.
We are looking at some of the following activities: Rock Climbing, Bowling, Escape Room, Quarry Hill (a schedule will be finalized soon). We'll also take time to pray together and eat lots of snacks!
