My friends in Christ,
This week, Archbishop Hartmayer announced new assignments for priests in the Archdiocese. Fr. Mark has been given his own parishes, Queen of Angels, Thomson, and St. Joseph's, Washington. Monsignor Lopez will relocate closer to Purification Heritage Center this summer to officially become their chaplain. Fr. Peeter will become the full-time administrator of the new Divine Mercy Mission. I am grateful for their ministry and their friendship these past years. We're planning opportunities to celebrate them as a parish before they relocate this summer.
This summer, we are welcoming two new priests to the Cathedral. You may remember Deacon Juan Carlos Villota, who interned with us last summer. He, along with Deacon Joe Wagner, will be ordained as priests next Saturday, May 28, and serve at the Cathedral in their first year of priestly ministry. We look forward to welcoming them!
