May 22, 2022 - Remembering St John Bosco On Our Parish Feast Day!
Our parish celebrates its Feast Day on the Sunday preceding May 24, the exact date for the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians. You are all invited to join our children and youth at 11 am for the crowning of Mary (outdoor statue) and to attend the 11:30 am outdoor Mass organized by our Youth. We are blessed to have such a large number of children and youth at OLHOC. Let us all celebrate with them with great joy on our Parish Feast Day!

Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ (May 29)
659 "So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God." 531 Christ's body was glorified at the moment of his Resurrection, as proved by the new and supernatural properties it subsequently and permanently enjoys. 532 But during the forty days when he eats and drinks familiarly with his disciples and teaches them about the kingdom, his glory remains veiled under the appearance of ordinary humanity. 533 Jesus' final apparition ends with the irreversible entry of his humanity into divine glory, symbolized by the cloud and by heaven, where he is seated from that time forward at God's right hand. 534 Only in a wholly exceptional and unique way would Jesus show himself to Paul "as to one untimely born", in a last apparition that established him as an apostle.

Facilities Update from the Building Committee
- Remember to claim your personal property as we should not be storing items and we need the space. Donation of personal items must go through the Building committee.
- Lastly, we have a list in office of volunteer tasks, if you are inclined.
- The Building Committee has several projects. One welcomes your thoughts.We are considering a concrete pad just outside from classroom hallway in the back. Besides picnic table(s), what would you like to use this area for?

Join in prayer for an end to abortion and a greater respect for human life on the second Saturday of each month. We meet in front of Planned Parenthood at 10 am to pray the Rosary (corner of St Charles Parkway and Leanardtown Rd, please park across the street in the CVS parking lot).
In anticipation of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and chairmen of USCCB committees serving women and families issued the following "Standing With Moms in Need" asking us to join in prayer and hope that states will again be able to protect women and children from the injustice of abortion.
