"The Very Rev. Dr. James F. Garneau, Ph.D., V.F., K.H.S., is a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh who earned his doctorate in Church History at The Catholic University of America in 2000. A priest for over thirty years, he served as the second Episcopal Vicar for Hispanics in the Diocese of Raleigh and is now the diocesan Director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate. Fr. Garneau served as Academic Dean and interim Rector/President at The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, and as an adjunct professor of history at the University of Mount Olive. Currently, Fr. Garneau is Pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Mount Olive and the Dean of the Newton Grove Deanery. In addition, he is the Chair of the Board of the Diocese of Raleigh Home Mission Society, which assists in funding the construction of churches and chapels in eastern North Carolina. He is also serving as the Episcopal Delegate for the Cause of the Servant of God, Fr. Thomas F. Price. He has published, lectured, and preached in a variety of venues."
