We have had 17 confirmed positive individuals in recent days, but fortunately several of those are already back on campus. Still, we need to keep up our guard.
While this new variant is highly contagious, it seems to be less severe than previous variants. With that being said, we continue to encourage the use of masks by students and faculty while indoors at school. While masking is still optional and will remain so through the end of this academic year, we do ask you to closely monitor any symptoms your child may exhibit, and keep them home if they are sick, and certainly if they should test positive. Let’s all work together for these final 10 days of school so that we can finish strong and ensure we can safely move forward with all the wonderful year-end activities and celebrations as planned.

Returning Items
Please ensure that all library books, textbooks, and Chromebooks have been turned into the school. Please check your FACTS account for any unpaid balances. Missing items or unpaid balances may result in report cards being withheld electronically on June 2nd. Please contact our business office if you have questions about your account.
Last Day of School Mass and Awards Ceremony
Please join us for our annual End of Year Mass and Awards Ceremony on June 2 at 9 a.m. Immediately following Mass, we will host our End of the Year awards ceremony for students in 1st-7th grade. Dismissal procedures will begin at 12 p.m. with our regular carline and walker door procedures. Please note that all students will return to the school building for dismissal. No students will be dismissed from the Church.
Library News
All library books are now past due. Please look in your cars and homes for missing library books. Books like to hide in the most unusual places. If your child cannot find their library book, please reach out to Mrs. Magill so she can walk you through the lost book process. You can email her at sheila.magill@ctrschool.com Lost book fees will be assessed through your student's FACTS account beginning May 24 and must be paid by the end of the school year.

Spontaneous Vs. Intentional Praise
Many parents tell us that praise often backfires, and their children’s behavior actually can get worse after receiving praise. When using Love and Logic, there are times when we want to encourage our kids and recognize them whenever they do a good job. However, this must be done carefully so that it achieves the goal of encouragement without creating more behavioral problems.
