St. James Food Pantry
REVERSE COLLECTION
This Weekend
May 21st& 22nd
Every summer food donations decrease due to vacations, no Religious Education classes, etc. At the same time, the need becomes greater for the families we help, due to children being home all day with no school lunch provided.
To help with the decrease in donations, our annual Reverse Collection will take place at all masses this weekend. A Reverse Collection involves passing the collection basket around, however, instead of contributing, you will be asked to take a piece of paper (or several, if you wish) from the basket. Each piece of paper lists three items needed for the Food Pantry. These items can be brought to mass next weekend or dropped off anytime the church is open.
Extra slips will also be available during the Pancake Breakfast and in a basket labeled “Reverse Collection” located in the narthex.
We are very grateful for the donations received to help stock the Food Pantry shelves!
