Catholics worldwide are urged to pray for Priests today on the World Day of Prayer for Priests. The day was begun by St. John Paul II in 2002 with the objective of having all Catholic faithful join in prayer of the sanctification of Priests. The World Day of Prayer for Priests always coincides with the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

From the Heart of Christ crucified is born the new humanity redeemed from sin. The man of the year 2000 needs Christ’s Heart to know God and to know himself; he needs it to build the civilization of love.”[1]
