The Excell Network scholarship stipend fund is currently accepting applications for the summer term. Students on probation or parole are invited to apply for a stipend to support them as they pursue their educational goals.
As part of the Restorative Justice Ministry, the program aims to
assist students in reentry through both financial assistance and a community of supporters. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
We are currently in the midst of Laudato Si' Week, the celebration of the seventh anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical. As part of the week, taking place May 22-29, Tomás Insua, executive director of the Laudato Si' Movement, spoke with Vatican News about the importance of the celebration and
the message of Laudato si'.
Your support is needed to strengthen the expanded Child Tax Credit. This program
reduces child poverty through monthly payments to families in need, but it expired at the end of last year.
In May a number of bishops, including Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone in his role as Chairman of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth,
sent a letter to Congress urging them to improve the Child Tax Credit program, stating, "Addressing this poverty is a moral imperative of the highest priority." Please contact your Senators and Representatives to add your voice to this cause.
