The menu may be subject to change due to inclement weather and or based on the availability of time for preparation.
Cost:
- Lunch, 16 games of bingo, 3 games to a card - $15.00
- Bingo and no lunch - $10.00
- Lunch and no bingo - $7.00.
For a small additional fee extra cards and cards for special games can be purchased. Large print bingo cards are available upon request.
The prize for the jackpot game is $200.00 for a win in 58 or fewer numbers. A consolation prize of $50.00 will be awarded for a win in more than 54 numbers.
For additional information or if you have any special dietary needs that prevent you from eating the offered meal, please contact the parish office (410452-5166, ext. 22) at least one week prior for an alternative option.
In the event of inclement weather, bingo will be cancelled if Harford County schools are closed for the day – No Make-Up Date. If Harford County schools are delayed bingo will be held.
Vacation Bible School is BACK! June 27-July 1, 9 AM - 12 PM. Children entering Pre-K through grade 5 are INVITED to St. Mary's V. B. S. This year's theme, "It's a Great Big Beautiful World," is based on St. Francis' encyclical, Laudato Si. We will explore the wonder of God's creation and learn how to love and follow Jesus through nature.

Sewing Day Wednesday, June 15, 10 AM - 2 PM. The Belles will have a sewing day. Please bring your sewing machine and lunch. Snacks and dessert will be provided. There are jobs for non-sewers too!! The ladies have been busy. We delivered 150 dresses, 15 shorts, and other items to Dr. Walsh this week for her mission trip in June.
Parish Survey. St. Mary’s recently sent a short Survey by e-mail to all registered parishioners who are 45 years of age or younger. The purpose of the Survey is to assess the needs of our younger parishioners, some of whom are new to the Parish and many of whom have children. We intend to use the feedback in an attempt to meet the needs of the people of this age in our community.
We have already received quite a few responses for which we are grateful. If you have not completed and returned the survey, which can be done electronically, please check your e-mail and possibly your spam filter, complete the Survey, and send us your thoughts.
Liturgy Volunteers Update Contact Info and Dates Available. We are making a change in the way we manage communication with our Liturgy Volunteers. We are actively working on the summer schedule (June, July, & August). If you are already aware of dates you will NOT be able to serve, please contact Joy as soon as possible. Thank you for your service to St. Mary's!
Confirmation Updates. We have been forming our teens as Missionary Disciples over the past 2 years to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our teens realize the importance of being called to be a Disciple of Christ, that our Faith journey is ongoing as they prepare to receive the Sacrament on June 5th.

VBS Needs Teen Volunteers, June 27-July 1 from 9 am - 12 noon Teens are you looking for an opportunity to serve our Parish Community this summer? For those preparing for Confirmation next year, this is a way you can accumulate Parish Involvement hours also! Mrs. Karen Dietz, our Coordinator of Religious Ed., is the new Director of VBS! She would welcome your support and help.

All teens volunteering need to be 14 or older and have completed the Worthy of the Call Training for Teens. We will be offering a Worthy of the Call Training on Sunday May 22 @10:00 a.m. in the Youth Room so you can be ready for VBS next month.

The article provides a basic understanding on how vaping works and why it is dangerous.
We encourage you and your family to do some research related to vaping. Everyone needs to be aware of the dangers that are around us.

Respect Life
Thanks for your action! St. Mary’s had nearly 100% participation from Maryland voters for the petition drive to stop HB937. While Pennsylvania parishioners could not sign, they are offering prayers for the effort.
B937 removes the physician requirement for doing abortions and requires all Marylanders to pay for abortion through their health insurance. Unless the petition drive is successful, the law goes into effect on July 1, 2022. Results of the petition drive will be in on May 31.
This is a spiritual battle. Pray for the conversion of hearts to God’s will and pray that The Campaign to Protect Women is pleasing in God’s eyes.

Seventh Month (size: about 15 inches) Beginning this month the baby uses all four senses. His eyelids open and close, and the eyes look around. The baby can taste, touch, cough, yawn and hiccup. He now recognizes his mother’s voice. His grip is even stronger now than it will be after his birth. The hair on his head is growing longer and the downy covering on the rest of his body is disappearing. During this time the baby will receive antibodies from his mother providing him immunity to a wide variety of diseases.

News from the Archdiocese of Baltimore
Women’s Mini Retreat at St. Mark Fallston, June 4, 9:00 AM - 12 Noon. The morning starts with Mass, followed by a light breakfast. Father Michael Foppiano and Seminarian Mike Misulia give reflections followed by breakout discussion time. This gives a chance to reflect and share the insight the Holy Spirit has given. The morning ends with Benediction and Adoration.

Volunteering for the Parish
Volunteers are the backbone of the parish and we welcome new volunteers with open arms. However, in the world today we must do everything we can to protect all people of all ages, the church and also yourself.
If you are ready and willing to give of your time and talent to be a part of one or more of our many ministries, please contact Barbara Sadler, Extension 22 or bsadler@stmaryspylesville.org for the information and guidance of the required Virtus training. The training will provide insight for the protection of all age groups and the responsibilities. DON’T WORRY!! It is an easy procedure.
